All Courses at Verulam School

The course is ideal for  sixth formers studying art who wish to extend and develop their sketch book skills and learn new techniques as well as adults wishing to develop printing and collaging skills.  Suitable for beginners. You need not be skilled in drawing to be able to create interesting and successful images.

This six week course will start with an introduction to drawing techniques and monoprinting, progressing into gum arabic transfer - a simple way of transfering images- to building up images to print with acrylics and ink.  You can work in a sketchbook to experiment and develop your work, and then print either small books, cards or produce your own prints for framing.

You will need to bring your own A2 sketchbook (ring bound good quality cartridge paper); inks, paint, rollers and other materials will be provided.

The second course this term will be suitable for people who wish to continue from the first course but will still be able to accommodate beginners.

The course is not running this term.  To be considered for the next dates, email carole.heselton@verulam.herts.sch.uk or call 01727 754113 for more information or to register for a place.
